Trena said it would be cool to have a book saved forever with great photos. I am mesmerized by Jackson Square and the French Quarter. Andrew Jackson is the only Democrat I think I have ever liked. What a hero, what a man, what a president.
When I first met Trena she had the typical photo album or scrapbook from her high school years. Damn, this was filled with all kinds of mess. Trinkets were falling out if you didn’t hold it tight, it was bulging the seams from stuffed mums, flowers, whatever.
When we first started dating she kept up with everything and continued throughout the years. We honestly have 12-14 large 3-inch binders full of stuff from our early dating years through the 1st year of marriage.
Now we have thousands of photos online. blah.
Anyone Shutterfly Their Way to The French Quarter?
I have thousands of family photographs stored away on hard-drives. I haven’t ordered a set of actual photographs of a trip, event, special occasion in ages. (not since digital became the norm). I just move them to an online website that I have for the family, place them on my photography website, put them on this blog, add a few interesting ones to Flickr, and place cell phone quick shots on Facebook.
What does everyone do with their photographs?
Shutterfly has deals on hardback photo books. I have started making a photo book of our last family vacation. We went to New Orleans and had some beautiful photographs. I think a photo book would be cool to have sitting around the living room. Does anyone else do this? This is the cover. It goes with our style in the living room.

Love photobooks! Scott has received a couple as end of season gifts in baseball. I made one for my mother-in-law as a Mother’s Day present once – she loved it. My Spring Break photos are still in Snapfish or Shutterfly as well. Thanks for the photobook inspiration. So understand Trena’s albums … have a couple myself! : )
You know what I do with my photos? I keep them on a flashdrive. That’s about it. If I’m feeling up to the task, then I’ll post them on Facebook. Terrible, isn’t it??
As much as I LOVE having digital cameras, it makes me a bit lazy. With the old point-click-and develop-the-film cameras, I was always SO quick to get the photos developed and would put them into beautiful albums.
The digital age has made me lazy. Haha.
Interesting post, cbowie!
