Loved hearing your stories. I’ve got a funny horror story
driving test for you. My driving test (back in the day) were given
by police officers, which makes that 10 times as scarier than
now-a-days. Didn’t do so hot on the parallel parking, So I was
hoping I would do better with the rest of the test. We get all done
and are finally back at the DPS office and he asks me to back up AS
STRAIGHT AS I CAN. And he emphasized that. So I “thought” ok, he
wants to see how straight I can back up. So I proceeded to look
forward (the entire time) and I backed up. All the while the
officer is looking at me like I’ve grown two heads. He is giving me
EVERY chance in the book. When we finished he explains to me that
he wanted me to check mirrors first and then turn around in my seat
and look out the back while driving backward. Oh well. I passed
with a 69 because “back in the day” the grading system was more
generous. If it were today, I would not have been so lucky. Hope
you get a few giggles from my story
